Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Board of the ESPU and local organizers, we would like to welcome you to the 22nd Congress of the European Society for Paediatric Urology in Copenhagen, April 27-30, 2011.

After having the 2009 Congress in the resort of beautiful Antalya on the Turkish coast we are now returning to one of the old Capitals of Northern Europe.

It is our goal to improve the standard of scientific presentations and discussions, which has made the Annual Congress of ESPU one of the world's most important events of the year for paediatric urologists.

The Congress Venue will be a convenient distance from the Airport and is near the City Centre which is situated in the modern area of Copenhagen.  There are 15 minute, free metro-line and city-line trains between the airport and the city centre.  A large number of hotel rooms have already been block booked for the delegates.  The hotels are adjacent to the venue and are in the old city centre, close to the metro line.  Social events will be within walking distance.

Copenhagen was a fishing harbour in the Viking age, later becoming the Capital of Denmark in 1443, just 35 years before the founding of the University of Copenhagen.
There are many ancient buildings, outstanding museums and galleries, with uniquely enchanting gardens.  The resident monarchy  is the oldest in the world.  The Danish Capital has a host of attractions to suit all tastes.

On Wednesday 27 April the City of Copenhagen will host a welcome reception for the attendants at the Town Hall. 

On Friday 29 April the 22nd ESPU Gala dinner will take place in a spectacular place in Central Copenhagen with entertainment surprises.
